- The Big 12 has changed the format for the Conference tournament this year. The field has been split into two divisions. Each division will play a round-robin tournament. The team with the best record in each division will move on to the Championship Game on Sunday. In the event of tied records, the first tie-breaker is head-to-head results from the tournament...the second is final regular season conference standings.
- The 10-run rule is in effect for all but the Championship game in the tournament.
- Game 7 only went 7 innnings as Missouri run-ruled Oklahoma. Game 11 also went 7 innings as Oklahoma run-ruled Oklahoma State.
- Games 9, 10, and 13 were telecast on FSN Southwest.

Notes:
- North Carolina State was the #7 seed in the ACC tournament and fought their way to the Championship game. They lost to Clemson who ended up with the #1 National seed in the regionals.
- Stanford took 2-of-3 from the Horns at home in February. Stanford did not do as well this year as they've done in the past. They were 11-13 in conference play and seem to have just squeezed their way into the regionals this year.
- UT-Arlington, who beat the Horns in Austin on April 11th, came through the loser's bracket of the Southland Conference tournament to win it all and earn their way into the reagionals.
- Game 7 is only played if the winner of Game 5 wins Game 6.
- * - Game 3 went 10 innings.
- The top 8 National seeds: (1) Clemson, (2) Rice, (3) Texas, (4) Alabama, (5) Cal State Fullerton, (6) Nebraska, (7) Georgia, and (8) Georgia Tech.
