Notes:
- Game 13 will be played if the team from the loser's bracket wins Game 11. Game 14 will be played if the team from the loser's bracket wins Game 12.
- Only one game will be played on Sunday regardless of whether or not either team has a loss.
- Games 11, 12, and 15 will be broadcast on FOX Sports.
- There was a lengthy rain delay during Game 7 (in the top of the 2nd inning with Missouri at bat and leading by a score of 7-0). When it became clear that play would be unable to resume for several hours, the start time for Game 8 was moved to Friday at 11AM.
- # - Games 7 and 9 were stopped at the end of the 7th inning due to the 10-run rule in effect for the tournament (for all games except for the Championship game).
- % - The championship game went 13 innings.
Austin Regional Info
Seedings: #1 - Texas (50-13) #2 - Oral Roberts (48-9) #3 - TCU (38-24) #4 - Youngstown State (22-30) Friday, June 4 Game 1: TCU 5 Game 2: YSU 3 ORU 6 UT 10 Saturday, June 5 Game 3: TCU 12 Game 4: UT 7 Game 5: ORU 10 YSU 8 (x) ORU 5 TCU 1 (x) Sunday, June 6 Game 6: ORU 3 Game 7: (not played) UT 7 - Regional champs!
Notes:
- Game 7 will be played if the winner of Game 5 wins Game 6.
- Youngstown State is representing the Horizon League. YSU was the bottom seed (out of a field of 7 and with a conference record of 7-10) going into the conference championship tournament and won 4 games in a row to earn their place in the field of 64.
- The winner of the Austin Regional will play the winner of the Charlottesville Regional: #1 - Virginia (42-13), #2 - Vanderbilt (42-17), #3 - George Mason (39-17), and #4 - Princeton (27-18).
Other News of Interest:
- Oklahoma State is the #2 seed in the Tallahassee (Florida State) Regional.
- Missouri is the #3 seed in the Fayetteville (Arkansas) Regional.
- Texas Tech is the #2 seed in the Atlanta (Georgia Tech) Regional.
- Texas A&M is the #2 seed in the Houston (Rice) Regional.
- Oklahoma is the #2 seed in the Oklahoma City (OU) Regional; Florida is the #1 seed in that Regional. Interesting.
- Nebraska did not get a bid. I thought they were on the bubble. 'Turns out their bubble burst.
- The winner of the Houston Regional playes the winner of the Baton Rouge (LSU) regional which means there's no way both Rice and LSU can make it to the CWS. That stinks!
- Top 8 National Seeds: (1) Texas, (2) South Carolina, (3) Miami, (4) Georgia Tech, (5) Stanford, (6) Rice, (7) Arizona State, and (8) Arkansas.
- Arizona State is a Top 8 National Seed but they did not put in a bid to host a regional so they're the #1 seed at the Fullerton (Cal State Fullerton) Regional. That strikes me as rather odd.
Austin Super Regional Info
The Longhorns are hosting the Vanderbilt Commodores in a best-of-3 format tournament. The Commodores come into town with a 45-17 overall record. They made it to the championship game of the SEC Tournament but lost to South Carolina (2-3). They then won the Charlottesville Regional in three straight games.
Results:
- Game 1 (Friday, June 11): Vanderbilt 3, Texas 15
- Game 2 (Saturday, June 12): Texas 10, Vanderbilt 2
- Game 3 (not played)
I believe all Super Regional games will be televised on ESPN and ESPN2.
Teams in the Super Regionals (with CWS bracket seedings):
- (1) Vanderbilt at Texas
- (2) East Carolina at South Carolina
- (3) Florida at Miami

- (6) Texas A&M at Louisiana State
- (7) Tulane at Cal State Fullerton
