Spanish spam + Campus Watch #16

Hmmm...looks like I've been busy. I knew I'd been busy but it's interesting to see that fact so clearly illustrated simply by looking at the last time I updated this page.

Anyway. I'm here today to report on the Spanish spam subject line of the day in my Eudora inbox (actually, it was appropriately scuttled over to the junk box):

¿¿Sabias que el tamaño si importa??

That's a very typical spam subject line. For some reason, the fact that it's in Spanish gave me a chuckle, though. 'Not sure why...it just did. I called Esther to read it to her and she chuckled as well so I decided it was worth sharing. I'm all about the sharing.

. . . .

From today's Campus Watch crime report:

Disorderly Conduct - Fighting, 2 counts (Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium)
Two UT students were found in section 26 while engaged in a physical altercation concerning one of the student's desire to leave the stadium before the end of the Texas vs. Baylor football game. Occurred on 10-2-04 at 2:50 pm.

Excuse me...say what? Gender is not mentioned. Nor whether or not the students were at the game together. Were the two students there together and one wanted to leave but the other didn't and one was dependent on the other for a ride? Was it a case where someone gave a stranger a bad time about leaving early (rudely ignoring Coach Brown's encouragement to come early, wear orange, be loud, and stay late!) and the two then went at it? Sometimes, these crime reports just leave too much information to the imagination. If you ask me. Which nobody has. But, still.
