Comments
I kept score as I listened to the game on the radio. The wind was
blowing hard to cf which led to a bit of a homerun derby. Texas hit
six and Missouri hit three. Dunn started out well, but got into a bit
of trouble in the 5th so had to be replaced. Seibel managed to get the
strikeout needed to end the inning and pick up the win despite being
rather ineffectual in the sixth. Halter came on to get his first save
of the year.
Of note: with his 13th homerun of the season in today's game,
Cridland moved into the #6 spot in career homeruns for Texas with 25
behind Brooks Kieschnick (with 43), Scott Bryant (33), Danny Peoples
(32), John Langerhans (30), and Brian Johnson (27). Thanks to Mike
for prompting me to look this info up.
And so...
