Comments
The highlight of the game was, of course, Matt Simpson's 3-run homerun
in the bottom of the 10th to win the game. What a shot. This sort of
excitement is what makes baseball so much fun.
Random notes:
- This was the 1,200th career victory for Augie Garrido.
- The weather was very nice with temps in the upper 60s.
- A pretty stiff wind blew in from left for most of the game but had
died down by the 9th inning or so. I wondered afterward if the
earlier wind could've knocked Simpson's shot to lf down. I don't
think so but you never know.
- Several women from the UT softball team were in attendance cheering
for the home team.
