Comments
I managed to get the afternoon off and made the game. And, it was well
worth the effort. Dunn pitched a great game...throwing 7 strikeouts and
skattering 4 hits. Kautsch came on in the 8th and struck out the first
4 batters he faced (throwing 5 strikeouts total). Loeffler went 2-for-3
with 2 doubles and 1 run scored. Aspito, Kolbach, Moore, and Nicholson
had 2 hits apiece. LSU kept their homerun streak alive when McClure
drove a monster shot over the left field fence; the Tigers have homered
in 76 games in a row.

- McClure homered over the lf fence. It was a monster shot and
there was no doubt it would leave the park from the moment it left
the bat.
- Earnhart doubled on a ball that hit 15 or 20 feet up the cf fence
and moved to 3b on a wild pitch during Davis' at bat.
- Davis grounded out on a slow chopper toward 1b (3-4). Schumacher
made a great play to stop the ball, keep Earnhart at 3b, and make
the toss to Nicholson covering 1b.
- Cresse struck out swinging (1-2 count).
- Dalton walked on 4 pitches.
