Comments

This game was originally scheduled to be played on Feb. 6th but was rained out and rescheduled to be played as part of a double header (both games scheduled for 9 innings) on Feb 7th. I listened to the game from McCombs Field where I watched the innaugural softball games (Texas won both games against UT-Arlington handily). Due to the loud speaker system, I missed a few things as I was trying to keep score. Forgive any errors that may appear in the box as a result.

It sounded like the batters were more relaxed than they were in the opener against UT-San Antonio as they came up with 9 hits, including 1 double and 2 homeruns (by Moore and Cox who also homered in the 2nd game). However, they did strikeout 14 times.
