Comments

I listened to the game on the radio and kept score as I listened. It was a close one. The announcers said Speerstra told them between games that his arm felt numb from the first pitch. He managed to make it through the first inning but didn't feel he could continue. He expects to be back for this weekend's series against Missouri. Loeffler provided the offensive fireworks for the game...hitting 3 solo homeruns, tying a school record (this is the first time since 1984 that a Longhorn player has accomplished this feat).
