Sad to say...the Horns didn't play very well today. There were a few bright spots but, overall, Tech seemed to want to win more than Texas did. And, so...

Game summary:

• 1st inning
  • Tech:
    • Ginter flew out to lf (foul).
    • Ayers popped up to the catcher behind the plate.
    • Dillon popped up to shallow cf -- Harkrider made the play.
  • Texas:
    • Harkrider singled up the middle.
    • Gutierrez went down swinging.
    • Loeffler doubled to the lf/cf gap. Harkrider scored.
    • Johnson reached on an error by 3b -- Ayers simply couldn't pick up the ball.
    • Loeffler was picked off (1-6) at 2b during Walsh's at-bat -- Loeffler slipped and fell down trying to get back to 2b.
    • Walsh grounded out to 3b.

    • Landreth went down swinging.
    • Shuffield singled to cf and was then caught stealing (2-4) during Toro's at-bat.
