Comments

Well...games like today test a scorekeeper's ability to stay on top of things. Whew. I think I managed. Weaver fell behind early...but it was more a matter of lack of defensive support than anything else. Things settled down and he pitched a pretty good game. It was nice to see Starcich do such a good job in the 9th. Offensively, Gutierrez and Harkrider each scored 4 runs. Rumfield scored 3 and batted 5 runs in.

  - Weeks reached on a bunt single down the 3b line.
  - Soratos singled to 3b. Weeks moved to 2b and then advanced to 3b when Gutierrez failed to handle the throw from Rumfield who was attempting to get Weeks out at 2b.
  - Dinsmore singled to lf. Weeks scored and Soratos moved to 3b. Dinsmore moved to 2b on the throw in from the outfield (Gutierrez failed to cover 2b).
  - Griffin singled to lf. Soratos scored. Dinsmore moved to 3b.
  - Vandeventer reached on a 4-6 fielder's choice. Dinsmore scored.
  - Hill hit a bloop single to lf. Vandeventer moved to 2b.
